FM Fellini Museum – Rimini
Audio visual installations
A museum distributed over three spaces: Castel Sismondo, Palazzo del Fulgor and Piazza Malatesta.
A space for creativity, listed by the Ministry of Culture as one of the great national cultural heritage projects, under the sign of Fellini’s visionary nature, cinema, and relationship with the arts, in a constant dialogue between innovation and tradition.
The Fellini Museum is not intended to interpret the cinema of the Rimini director as a work in itself, as a shrine or tribute to his memory, but to exalt the cultural heritage of one of the most illustrious directors in the history of cinema, who was born in Rimini in 1920. It brings together in a conceptual and spatial unicum a number of places in the heart of the city, resulting in a composite itinerary of participatory narratives that make the visitor the protagonist of an immersive experience, in a seamless ‘dialogue’ between indoor and outdoor spaces in which creativity and imagination can positively influence Rimini and its journey into the present and future, as the key to accessing the world of ‘everything is imagined.
In synergy with Studio Azzurro, Engineering Associates was responsible for the design and realisation of the interactive and multimedia exhibits. Engineering Associates has developed a management software for the Museum’s curators to keep Fellini’s digital archive allowing its contents to be updated and published within the Museum’s multimedia installations. It has also created a centralised management platform for both Museum sites: through a single control point it is also possible the switching on and off of all the exhibits and to check their status.
Engineering Associates encourages you to visit the Museum and embark on an immersive journey through the displays.
