The Palazzo del Podestà, home to the interactive Museum of the 16th century, has a long history dating back as far as the 12th century. Through a tour of seven rooms, the visitor moves from the symbolic medieval world to the perception of the New. Bergamo, a border town of the Venetian power, is seen through the eyes of travellers of a variety of social status: the walls transformed the city into a veritable fortress within which commerce swarmed, especially in the workshops, turning Bergamo into a lively centre hosting merchants from all over the world during the celebration of the patron saint Saint Alexander.

Engineering Associates has designed and implemented the APP, which functions in the same way as an audioguide allowing users to listen to synchronised content with the videos in the exhibition rooms. In addition, the presence of interactive posters and QRcodes in the rooms make the visit a totally immersive experience.
